About Christian

Christian Harlow picked up his first golf club before he could ride a bike. Born in April 2011, he's been on the course at Royal Oaks Country Club in Vancouver, WA since he was two years old — golf has been the family's language ever since. He has two older sisters, a mom, and a dad, and every one of them plays. Some of his best memories are still the simplest ones: the whole family out for a summer-evening round, Yacht Rock Radio blaring from a Bluetooth speaker somewhere in the cart.

Golf came naturally to him early, and the years since are full of small milestones that tell the story better than any stat line:

• From age 2 to 4, he gripped the club cross-handed — and still hit it well.
• At 6, he played his first tournament through US Kids Golf.
• Also at 6, his first hole-in-one (from 25 yards, but it counts).
• At 7, he won his first tournament.
• At 8, he beat his dad — a scratch handicap at the time — over 9 holes.
• His best 9-hole score from those early years: a 30 (-6).

Since those early years, the soundtrack has expanded — Classic Rock now shares the Bluetooth speaker with Yacht Rock — but not much else has changed about how he plays, other than the scale of it. He's traded losing to his dad for regularly beating him, and that first 25-yard ace now has a longer sibling: a 190-yard hole-in-one on the third hole at OGA Golf Course. His best 18-hole round has dropped to a 61 (-11), and the win total has climbed past 100.
